Can you help explain these questions about Henry Ford?
What were the traits that helped Henry Ford to become the greatest industrialist of the early twentieth century?
and...
What techniques did Henry Ford incorporate to turn his small automobile company into the giant Ford Motor Company?
I know a little about the assembly line but not much. Could you elaborate on it more and add a little more information please?
The reason that Henry was so successful was because his goal was to put the world on wheels. To do this, he offered the famous "$5 a day" wages, and brought tons of people to Detroit, which basically created the middle class. The cars were also pretty affordable for how extravagant they seemed, and Henry took criticism for this. He could have theoretically made soooo much more money if he charged more for his cars and paid his workers less. The assembly line was designed to help speed production of the cars. If one man assembled one car by himself, he had to know how to put everything together and had to go around to different parts of the factory to get the necessary parts. By creating the assembly lines, certain workers specialized in certain areas where they became efficient at their jobs since the parts were right there and the repetition made it easy. Hope this helped.
Ford Escort RS Cosworth & World Rally Car (Rally Giants)
The Escort RS Cosworth, which started rallying in 1993, was one of the most ingenious designs of all time. What started as a shortened Sierra Cosworth 4x4 platform, topped off by a modified Escort cabin and outer skins, was soon developed into a versatile and sophisticated rally car, and eventually became Ford's most successful since the legendary Escorts of the 1970s. Because it was smaller, lighter, and more nimble than any of the Sierras, the combination of Cosworth power, four-wheel-drive transmission, and an effective aerodynamic package made it a Rally Giant in all conditions. With five World victories in its first season, and success all around the world in later years, it was seen in every continent, in all conditions. Drivers like Carlos Sainz, Tommi Makinen and Francois Delecour added their own stardust to a glittering reputation. To meet a change in regulations, the Escort World Rally Car took over in 1997, and also enjoyed years of success.

Is Darren Ford of the SF Giants the fastest player in Major League Baseball?
I know that announcers are biased, but the Giants broadcasters were talking about how Darren Ford is literally the fastest runner out there today. Does anyone know if this is true?
As usual, best answer gets all the credit.
So far, no one has given any form of proof for their answer. You can say Crawfords faster (and he probably is), but then why not save a step and conclude that Ford is faster?
Does anyone know where Ford ranks in fact?
It's nearly impossible to tell exactly who the fastest player in the MLB is without seeing them in a footrace. I can't argue with anyone who says guys like Crawford and Ichiro are faster, but I have followed Ford since he was with the Brewers' organization and do have a few facts that can give people some insight to the question. 1) Ford was the NJ state champion in the 55-meter dash in 2004. 2) The the top of the speed scale in MLB's scouting prospectus is 80 and I believe that it stops at 6.3 seconds in the 60-yard dash (anyone who runs faster than 6.3 is rated at 80+). Coming out of high school, Ford was an 80+ runner and I have read several reports (including one from Baseball America) that Ford ran 6.2 several times, including twice in the same day. I can't find where I read it, but I remember sometime a few years back reading that he ran a 6.18. What I'm getting at is that for someone to be a full tenth of a second faster than the time at which the MLB scouting scale ends is a lot and undeniably puts him in the conversation as one of the fastest players in the league. 3) Also, if you go to MLB.com and look for stories about Ford, he was rated as the fastest player in both organizations he's been affiliated with. The Brewers touted him as their fastest player and he is now regarded as the fastest player in the Giants' organization, too. He stole 60+ bases in each of his first three years in the minor leagues and between 30 and 40 the following two. If you saw his stolen base on Saturday night, his speed was evident there, too. Granted, it was a first move steal (he went the moment the pitcher began his delivery), but Kuo is a left-hander (much more difficult to steal on) and he was fully into the base before the ball reached the man covering. Again, I admit that its impossible to tell who is the fastest man in the MLB without concrete facts, but these are some about Ford that I think at least legitimize his presence in the conversation. Hope this helped!
What is the name of the giant spring in the front wheel hub?
There is a giant spring in the front wheel hub of many cars (if not all) located above the wheel bearing and braking system? What is it is called? I believe it's apart of the suspension system.
Specifically, on a 2003 Ford Taurus. This morning, it snapped and impaled the front tire rendering it flat in like 1 second. I do not believe the car is drivable in this condition and I was wondering what I should expect in the way of a repair.
Thanks
its the coil spring, if it snapped i would replace it as well as the strut
